Event: Bounty Hunting: Head Hunt & Bounty Hunting: Grunt Hunt
With the Burning Springs update on December 2nd, 2025, the map expands westward into the Ohio desert. This area features 25 new locations and plenty of outlaws to hunt down in bounty events. The Ghoul himself will give you bounty hunting assignments in Highway Town.
TL;DR: The new legendary Mods only drop in these Events.
You'll be introduced to the bounty hunting system during the Burning Springs questline. There are two different bounty hunts:
1. Bounty Hunt: Headhunt
This event is publicly announced and triggered by a specific event (similar to Encryptid). You can start it in two ways:
- Pay 5,000 caps to the Ghoul
- Post a Wanted poster on the bounty board
Received from routine hunts
Once you trigger one of these events, your public event will start, and anyone can help you complete it.

2. Bounty Hunting: Grunt Hunt
The Routing Hunt events are small tasks, similar to the daily tasks you can complete solo. You'll only encounter one outlaw, who presents a minor challenge.
You can start a Grunt Hunt by picking up a "Wanted" Flyer at the Ghouls table at the Last Resort in Highway Town.
Bounty Hunt: Grunt Hunt Rewards
You start with 1* enemies on the grunt hunts. After 10 grunt hunts you will complete the related challenge and unlock 2* grunt hunts. And after another 50 grunt hunts, 3* grunt hunts will be unlocked.
- 1000 XP

- Wanted Poster (for Head Hunts)
Note: Always put your Wanted posters to your stash, if you're not starting head hunts, this improves your chance to get new ones. - 1 legendary 1-3 Star Item
- All legendary Mods + new Burning Springs Mods
