What is there to discover in Fallout 76 in 2026?
Well, tons! A lot has changed since its release in 2018. Not only did the Wastelanders update in 2020 transform the game, bringing new NPCs, quests, weapons, and much more, but many other major updates followed, including two map expansions: Skyline Valley and Burning Springs. The latest Burning Springs update was already the 64th update.
- Every three months, a new season begins, offering a wealth of rewards up to rank 150.
It's often worthwhile to earn these rewards, as they become difficult or even impossible to obtain afterward. - Several major quest lines (Settlers/Raiders, Brotherhood of Steel, Vault 63 in Skyline Valley, the Rust King, etc.), numerous side quests, and even more daily tasks await you.
- A wide selection of weapons, including rifles, pistols/revolvers (most recently the Ghoul Revolver from the Prime series), heavy weapons like the Gauss Minigun, and melee weapons such as the Auto Axe or the Deathclaw Gauntlet.
- Plenty of armor, whether you prefer power armor or body armor. There's something for everyone. Some armor sets have interesting bonuses, while others must be earned.
- A completely revamped C.A.M.P. building menu allows for the free and creative design of your home in the wasteland.
- Public events start every 20 minutes, offering new legendary items and rewards. These events also provide an opportunity to discover various interesting locations and play with other players.
- The RAID "Gleaming Depths", for a true challenge, is now also part of the game. Many 4-star mods are only available in the RAID. However, you should only attempt it once you can easily defeat all enemies in the game.
- Play as a ghoul or a human, choose what you like. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Find out for yourself.
- Bounty hunting in Burning Springs: The ghoul from the Prime series gives you quests in Highway Town. Completing these quests rewards you with interesting weapons featuring unique effects that are only available there.
- Seasonal events await you regularly. Currently, the Mothman cultists in Point Pleasant are celebrating the Mothman Equinox. All seasonal events offer unique rewards that you can't obtain in other events in the game.
- New Atom Shop items are added every week. These are mostly cosmetic items such as outfits or CAMP items. Some older rewards from previous seasons are also available. Additionally, some weapons, like the Auto-Axe, can be found there.
The list could go on and on; there's always something to do. The player community is very friendly, so be prepared for a high-level player to approach you and offer you a bag of items. Feel free to accept the gifts, but always be mindful of your carrying capacity. Being overloaded won't get you very far in Fallout 76.
