Welcome to Nuka Knights
Nuka Knights came to life primarily because of my constant thirst for information about Fallout 76 background knowledge, news, updates and everyday challenges. I met a lot of great people in the game and we formed a nice group. For a long time I only shared my information in our small circle. However, some time ago I decided that I would like to make this information available to anyone who is interested.
Here and in our Facebook group Nuka Knights, many things happen a little differently than in most groups. We provide more detailed posts here, all tagged with topic categories. So you can find old posts at any time via the topics and of course via the search . Further, we decided together not to allow wild trading posts. You can trade for ammunition and bottle caps in our other group: Nuka Knights Caps & Ammo Trading (Unfortunately you have to do most of the trading somewhere else.) In this group there are also collections for the exchange of event rewards, so you can exchange missing plans/outfits 1:1 for other rewards of the event.
So there is a concentrated stream of data. I try to keep all posts as complete and informative as possible so that everyone can understand what is going on.
The group is deliberately public so that you can also share the posts in other groups. I like to refer to detailed instructions, because similar things are often asked. You are also free to do so with the contributions in the group. However, please don't want to see someone "stealing" the content of a post and posting it somewhere else. This is not necessary and should simply be omitted out of respect for the work that goes into the contributions here. Posts here on the website can be linked by you, or the links can be shared.
All official events and promotions can be found in our events . There are, for example, all the dates of the current roadmap including patch releases, discount campaigns, Minerva data, events, etc.
Additional info: "Datamining" - what is that?
Here there are regular picture galleries from "Dataminings" after patches. To clarify: data minings are data and images that can be extracted from available game files or PTS (Public Test Server) game files. This means they are files that are already included in the live game or on a current PTS version. This information is compiled for items that are not yet officially available . The dataminings are therefore a preview of possible upcoming items. In some cases, items from data mining have never been published . Or half a year later. However, it is usually the case that they appear a few weeks after data mining. "ATX" dataminings are Atom Shop items. But there are also some others, for example for challenges in the nuclear winter or for the new seasons.
In general datamining is the examination of the definitions in the game files to find out how things actually work. This is often helpful, if the patchnotes are not telling everything that was changed. Or if some things work differently in the game, than described.
Information on maintenance & updates
We will announce all upcoming updates/hotfixes here as soon as they are known. Planned updates can be found in the dates.
And to shorten some questions: No, it's not maintenance every Tuesday. Maintenance is only announced. If a maintenance is due, you can do it here in the Bethesda Discord or in our Discord under #bethesda-says.
The only thing that always happens every Tuesday is the timed Atom Shop update at 12am ET . This requires no downtime and is no maintenance. The activation takes place in the background through a time-controlled process.
