Mothman Equinox: Tu, 13th Aug 2024 - Tu, 27th Aug 2024

With Patch 32 (December 8th, 2021) the Mothman Equinox Event was activated for the first time. We already covered this at Nuka Knights during the PTS. The enlightened (Mothman cultists) meet once every hour in Point Pleasant to pay homage to the Mothman with a spiritual ritual.

Sequence

Step 1:
The event is started on the roof of the Mothman Museum by speaking to interpreter Clarence. Your task is to help the enlightened to perform the ritual together with other wasteland dwellers.

Step 2:
There are 3 fireplaces (water/bridge/church). Free the 3 pyres from the tendrils. So shoot or knock off the vines there.

Step 3:
Defend the 3 pyres. Destroy the 10 totems on the roofs. Gather 15 Albino Deer Blood and place it in the offering troughs. Kill the 5 Cultist Prophets.

Step 4:
If at least 1 more pyre has been successfully protected (ideally all 3 pyres should not be destroyed yet), return to the roof of the Mothman Museum and do 30 emotes. Then the Mothman spawns and the event ends.

Tips:
If you "click" the Mothman (like in the Lighthouse Event) you will receive the "Mothman's Wisdom" for 60 minutes. In this case: +15% XP bonus

The books in the church are gradually unlocked according to the number of completed events:

Book: 1 event

Book: 6 Events
Book: 10 events
Book: 15 events
Book: 21 Events

Note: Bug 2024 fixed

The Bug from April in the reward drops was fixed. Plans drop normal now and can be received several times.

Basic rewards are: 500 XP, 60 Caps, 1* Legendary Item, 5 Treasury Notes (+2 due to a bug) and 3 Legendary Cores.

HIGH CULTIST PRIESTS (OUTSIDE THE EVENT)

Alongside the event, high cultist priests will spawn throughout Appalachia . The spawns work the same as in the Mole Miner Treasure Hunters. And these enemies are also all legendary, meaning they each carry a 1-3* legendary item.

In addition, they each have a Cultist Priest Pack with them. It contains a few tools and an outfit with a 25% chance of dropping):

The packs cannot be traded and cannot be bought at train stations. The collectrons do not collect these packets either.
