Milepost Zero Guide: All Offers and Upgrades

Milepost Zero Guide: All Offers and Upgrades
Attention: Milepost Zero, the caravans, and quests have been completely removed. The plans are now available in Highway Town from some merchants, e.g., Windy, and as rewards from the Holiday and Spooky Scorched.
See: Milepost Zero Plans in Highway Town (Windy, V63 Laser Carbine and more)

Milepost Zero Caravans are now available in the game. In the hotfix from 17th september 2024, the caravans were unlocked and some bugs were fixed (e.g. loot problem). See also: Fallout 76: Milepost Zero Hotfix Patchnotes 17th September 2024

Quest: "A bump in the road"

This quest starts automatically as soon as you start Fallout 76 and enter a world. In the quest, you look for clues at the Stony Man Lookout in Skyline Valley. To do this, you collect the holotape of the Blue Ridge employee which you will find dead in one of the cages.

The quest now takes you directly to Milestone Zero, the place in the south of Skyline Valley where you can manage your caravans.

Milepost Zero

Milepost Zero

Here you enter the instance and meet Marley, who introduces you to the business of your caravan company. You can order and process deliveries from her. And you can also hire other employees from Marley: Josie the Brahmin tamer, Alex the decorator, Ineke the imported goods vendor, Theodor the ammo vendor and Windy the cryptid hunter.

Of course there is a new currency here: supplies

You receive 10, 25 or 50 supplies for successful deliveries at "Caravan: Skyline Drive" events depending on the size of the delivery. You have to escort a Brahmin through an area similar to "Free Range" Events. The "Caravan: Skyline Drive" events are public events. Any other player can help you and also receive supplies upon completion. You can then use the supplies to hire employees / vendors and upgrade them to higher tiers. Each employee can be upgraded twice and each time they offer additional goods, quests or other options.

Milepost Zero Headquarter

Josie the Brahmin tamer can give the Brahmins additional abilities, e.g. allowing them to run faster. Alex the decorator can redecorate your Milepost Zero instance and he can also search for items for you (he can also find bobbleheads and magazines), Ineke the import dealer offers various blueprints (e.g. new outfits), Theodore offers you ammunition for sale and at level 2 he offers you a Vault 63 quest called "Unconventional Weaponry" where you get the V63 laser carbine rifle. At tier 3 Theodore then offers you the mods for the rifle as a blueprint. So it's worth hiring Theodore first and upgrading him if you want the new rifle. But beware: There is a bug that prevents you from learning the rifle plan from the quest if you already received the V63 Laser Carbine from someone and have it in your inventory or stash.

Skyline Drive Events: Earn Supplies

Tip: Carry a "Medics" Weapon with you on the deliveries, to heal your Brahmin.

You complete the first delivery within the "A bump in the road" quest. You will receive 100 supplies upon completion. You will then have to start and complete 2 more deliveries, for which you will receive 10 supplies each.

You will then be given the choice of which delivery you would like to accompany:

  • Small delivery
    Cost: 100 caps
Earnings upon successful completion: 10 supplies
    Earnings for Participants: 1 supply
  • Medium delivery
    Cost: 400 caps
Earnings upon successful completion: 25 supplies
    Earnings for Participants: 3 supplies
  • Large delivery
    Cost: 1200 caps
Earnings upon successful completion: 50 supplies
    Earnings for Participants: 5 supplies

These costs are the basic prices. If you accept multiple deliveries within a short period of time, you will receive discounts. The calculation resets with every successful delivery.
The discount increases evenly up to the respective maximum:

  • Small delivery
Maximum discount: 100 caps after 1 hour
  • Medium delivery
Maximum discount: 400 caps after 4 hours
  • Large delivery
Maximum discount: 1000 caps after 10 hours

Which model is most worthwhile for you depends on your gaming habits. However, since the individual deliveries can sometimes take 20 minutes or more (because they don't seem to be running quite smoothly yet), it naturally makes sense to choose deliveries with the highest possible earnings.

Employees and Upgrades

In addition to the offers, each of the employees also has a snow globe for you. You can collect these snow globes and place them in the Skyline Valley snow globe display (season 18), for example.

Preview pictures of the offers and snow globes can be found below.

Wg. Bug mit dem Waffenbauplan:
Betrifft das auch die Modifikationsbaupläne?

Nein, nur den Bauplan selbst, den man in der Quest bekommt. Die Mods werden ja nach dem Upgrade angeboten. 0 25.09.2024 at 15:06:16

Die Schneekugeln bekommst du in den Dialogen, nicht zum Kauf. Geh am besten mal ein paar Dialoge mit den Angestellten durch. 0 27.01.2025 at 20:39:32
