Fallout 76 Plans in 2024: Map Expansion to the Shenandoah National Park, New seasonal Events, New rewards

Fallout 76 Plans in 2024: Map Expansion to the Shenandoah National Park, New seasonal Events, New rewards

There is interesting news about the future of Fallout 76 next year 2024!
Art director Jonathan Rush published an open letter to the community yesterday, previewing upcoming expansions.

17 million Fallout 76 players

Last month, Fallout 76 just celebrated its 5th birthday and as of today and the current Atlantic City Boardwalk Paradise update, 17 million players have experienced the journey to the wasteland of Appalachia.

Atlantic City: Part 2 "America's Playground" will be released in spring 2024

In this Atlantic City update there will be a new expedition in which players will face the new enemy "Jersey Devil". There will also be new story-driven quests and lots of rewards.

According to the current status of the PTS, we will also receive the new "Muni" armor as rewards in the quests, not in the new expedition. A third The PITT Expedition can also be seen in the game files, but we will see whether this will also be released with this update or perhaps later.

Concept Art in high resolution: download here.

This concept art image teases the map expansion. It is possible that you can already see some hints of upcoming content here.

The first thing you notice is the Vault 63 door, which appears to be lying on glowing or burning ground on the left side. Now can we explore Vault 63? Is there a story or settlement there? We will see.

And what do we see here in the middle? A building is struck by a red bolt of lightning from the eye of the storm. Has a similarity to the blue laser beams of alien attacks, but it could also have a mystical origin. Do you have any ideas about this?

This settlement looks like blood eagles. But it is also possible that it is the headquarters of a new faction that awaits us in Shenandoah.

Then there are e.g. this watchtower, or maybe it is a lookout tower.

Here you can see a kind of logging camp by a river. This may also be a camp of a faction.

Seasonal Events and Rewards

Throughout the coming year, the team is also shining a greater light on Fallout 76’s beloved Seasonal Events. We’re looking forward to running them much more frequently and offering a host of new rewards with each Event. There are also plans for new Seasonal Events to round out our roster, so get ready to pencil in those calendars in 2024.

At first glance, that sounds much more interesting than the schedules we have experienced in the last 1-2 years. Unfortunately, there were mostly the same events without new rewards. That seems to be changing now. We're excited to see how often new rewards will be released and what new seasonal events will be added.

CAMP building & other features

And in order not to forget the camp builders, there should also be some new features and improvements here. Both for camp construction and for adventurers.

Fallout TV series

Last but not least, Jonathan Rush points out the upcoming Amazon Prime Fallout series, which has already featured some promising teasers. See also: Fallout TV series: Fallout TV Series: First official images of the coming Fallout Amazon Prime Show
