Get Vault 33 Backpack on Steam and PlayStation? (without Xbox Game Pass)

Get Vault 33 Backpack on Steam and PlayStation? (without Xbox Game Pass)

[Update: PlayStation method added]

To coincide with the start of the Fallout show on Amazon Prime, Bethesda has now released a backpack skin. This is a Vault 33 backpack skin that looks like Lucy's backpack in the Fallout show. This backpack skin is included in the "Vault 33 Survival Kit" bundle. You can only get this bundle as a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber (in rewards).

The Vault 33 backpack and the survival kit are available on GamePass from April 11th. - June 16th, 2024. On Twitch (means also on Steam) from 11th April until 23st April 2024.

Alternative ways to get the Vault 33 backpack skin

But there is also another possibility. This option takes you via Twitch and contains a catch.

You don’t get the backpack here for free.

  1. First you need a Twitch Account

  2. You then connect to Steam in Settings -> Connections.
On PlayStation you need to connect your Bethesda Account to PlayStation and Twitch. You should generally connect your platforms on your Bethesda Account.

  3. Now go to the Streamer Overview for Fallout 76 with your logged in Twitch account. Here you can now select a streamer who is currently streaming Fallout 76.

  4. If you take out a paid subscription to one of the streamers (from $3.99) you will receive the backpack.

Note: Yes, it is possible to get a free streamer subscription via Prime by connecting to Amazon. Unfortunately, that doesn't count towards the backpack. I tested it.

Alternative via the Microsoft Store with a PC code

There is another way to get the Survival Kit on PC. To do this, you need a Microsoft account and must have Fallout 76 installed via the Microsoft Store.

There you can redeem a PC code from someone who has an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription but only wants to use the Xbox code themselves.

If you have linked the Microsoft account (or Xbox account) on Bethesda.net to your account and your Steam account is also linked to the Bethesda account, the redeemed code should also arrive on Steam.

Unfortunately, I can't test this method because I only have an active GamePass Ultimate subscription and redeemed the code there. Feel free to write in the comments whether the method works like this.
